I don't like having large dogs as pets anyway, not because I'm afraid they might be dangerous, but because it's just more convenient for me to have small pets (less food to buy, smaller living space to provide, etc). Some of this is due to the genes that they inherit, whereas environmental factors do play a role too. They would not hurt a living thing. You made a lot of good points. If you previously suspected that they were aggressive, or perhaps had an unfortunate and unlikely bad experience with one once, be rest assured that this is a friendly, loving dog that would make a great addition to any home. They are not inherently, and traditionally, an aggressive breed. Texas is NOT the state for Malamutes, so don't even go there fellow Texans. This is true of any breed of dog. I am very passionate, however, about certain breeds of dogs being labeled as dangerous. We also have tile which is a godsend with all that hair!
